The focus of the work is on the development and realisation of projects, which promote organic agricultural production and trade with the prospect to offer a better income to producers.
The conversion to organic farming can improve yields and quality of the crops for home consumption and helps farmers to find markets for their products which otherwise would not be accessible.

Beneficiaries of HELBERG CONSULT are small-scale farmers, producer groups as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that are engaged in production, processing, handling and marketing of organic agricultural produce. Consultancy services are usually provided in close collaboration with institutions and (trade) businesses in the industrial countries to facilitate market access.

There is no regional limit for the services of HELBERG CONSULT but most projects so far were carried out in Africa, Asia, Caribbean, South Pacific, Middle East and Eastern Europe.

HELBERG CONSULT is not specialised in any specific crops or products but we have a lot of experience in Spices, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAP) and Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFP).
